Every year, the Historic Inns of Rockland cap off Festival of Lights with a Holiday House Tour on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This year the Holiday House Tour will be held November 25 2017, from 1:00-4:00pm. And once again the Historic Inns of Rockland will join with the Friends of the Rockland Public Library to jump-start the spirit of the season. Participate in the tour and view historic inns decked in all their holiday finery, while supporting Rockland’s Public Library, The library will also be running a silent auction of beautifully decorated table top Christmas trees donated by local business. Admission to the tour is free although a $10 or more donation for the library is suggested and will be greatly appreciated due to recent budget cuts.
The annual Holiday House Tour offers the chance to tour beautifully decorated inns including Berry Manor Inn, Granite Inn and LimeRock Inn, all dressed up in their holiday finery. You’ll gather decorating tips and see everything from elaborate Victorian decorations to a fabulous collection of nutcrackers. Simply start at any of the three inns; no advance tickets are necessary.
The weekend is filled with the renowned “Lobster Trap Tree” featured on Discovery Channel’s America’s Extreme Trees, Santa arriving by lobster boat, holiday parades, tastings, samplings and demonstrations and so much more.
