Summer Gardens at Historic Inns of Rockland

Historic Inns of RocklandBlog

After the winter we’ve had and the recent touch of spring warmth, all eyes are on springtime.  Longer days and sunshine throughout those days has us thinking about spring and summer getaways.  If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring? Some might say Puritans, but we say gorgeous gardens surrounding the Historic Inns of Rockland.  It’s not too early to start planning a getaway!  The Lobsters, Lighthouses and Luxury package is a great reason to come in June, and our summer gardens are another reason to plan your getaway throughout July and August.

Check for availability on our handy Historic Inns of Rockland availability calendar.  While there’s almost always room at the inn, during festival periods, the inns fill up. The early planner gets the best room choice and will enjoy their own stroll throughout the summer gardens at Granite Inn, Berry Manor Inn and LimeRock Inn.

If your stroll for now is from your armchair or desk chair, that’s okay.  This preview of what’s to come in our summer gardens will get you psyched for a summer getaway to Maine’s Midcoast and the Historic Inns of Rockland.

Berry Manor Inn

Let’s start at the Berry Manor Inn where gardens explode in color throughout the summer.  The kitchen garden right outside the kitchen door means guests are treated to fresh herbs throughout the summer at breakfast time too.

Granite Inn

Hanging baskets, gorgeous gardens and harbor views surround the Granite Inn thoughout the summer.  Here’s the view from the front porch, the perfect place to awake with a steaming cuppa Joe or to relax in the evening with a cool beverage.

LimeRock Inn

From the front porch which earned the LimeRock Inn a Yankee’s Editors Pick to a quiet tete-a-tete in the rear gazebo, beautiful flowers fill the view from the LimeRock Inn.  Here’s what’s in store for those making summer visits.

Whether it’s June, July, August or throughout the fall months, a getaway to the Historic Inns of Rockland promises to be colorful and flower-filled.  We look forward to welcoming you to these three Midcoast Maine inns, surrounded by beautiful gardens.
